A message from Katie Louie, Principal

Spokane Valley Tech Families,

I am incredibly honored to lead our outstanding staff and students at Spokane Valley Tech, both in our STEM Academy and at the SVT Skill Center.  We work collaboratively with our community to ensure we are living up to our mission of preparing students to pursue passions.  We strive to take an innovative approach to learning that provides unique learning experiences to students so that they can be successful wherever their aspirations take them.  SVT is an active PACE partner and we advocate for our students to “GOPRO” by promoting positive character traits. Students at SVT are recognized for being Gracious, Open-Minded, Perseverant, Responsible, and Owning It!

Our staff works to challenge our students to problem solve through creativity and collaboration; they work alongside students to help them reach their maximum potential.  Our teachers are there each step of the way to offer support and encouragement as students continually try new things and step outside of their comfort zones in the pursuit of learning.

Most importantly, education truly takes a village and we could not do this without our outstanding PTO and the community supporters that we work with.  We encourage all of our families to get involved in any way they can and we appreciate working with the surrounding community to support student learning.

We are so excited to be back together for the 2021-22 school year where we are Better Together!

Warm Regards,

Katie Louie
