CyberPatriot at SVT
The Spokane Valley Tech CyberPatriot Club just completed a great 2025-26 season with an amazing performance in the National round of the CyberPatriot competition.
After two rounds of seeding competition, SVT had two teams make Platinum division and another make the Gold division. In the first elimination round, the SVT Platinum division teams finished in first and second place in Washington and in 95th and 170th in the nation. Unfortunately, only the top 150 teams are able to move on, so one of our teams was eliminated. Our gold team did a great job and finished 4th in Washington and was able to move on to the final round.
In the final round that just concluded on February 2nd, our Platinum team was able to finish at 102 in the nation out of top 150 Platinum teams. Our gold team had an amazing round to not only take first place in Washington but to also finish second place in the nation out of 400 gold division teams. The CyberPatriot competition is a national Blue Team cyber security competition that featured over 2,300 open division teams from all over North America. Students compete in 4 different rounds with the objective of securing computers and performing a wide variety of digital forensics tasks. The SVT teams had only 5 graduating seniors and will return 16 of its 21 members next year.
