Meet Camille Nielsen, STEM Academy Principal
Camille Nielsen began her career in education in 2000 as a high school science teacher. In addition to teaching classes in AP Biology, Biology, and Physical & Earth Science she also served as an instructional coach for the science department at Central Valley High School. In 2008, Camille moved to the Central Valley School District office as the K-12 Science Coordinator. Camille led the development and implementation of a district-wide K-5 science curriculum as well as new middle and high school instructional materials. Camille currently serves as the STEM Academy Principal at SVT and the CVSD STEM Camp Coordinator.
A national board certified teacher of adolescent/young adult science, Camille holds a BA in Secondary Education and General Science from Western Washington University and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Eastern Washington University.
